gravitational waves of a binary merge

When neutron stars or black holes merge with each other, they emit gravitational waves. You can look at such a gravitational wave signal in this simulation and change various parameters such as the masses of the two merging objects and their distance from Earth. As the masses orbit each other, you can also observe how the frequency of the gravitational wave and the distance between the two masses change. The formulas used for this simulation come from a paper by Rubbo et al. (2007) https://doi.org/10.1119/1.2721587 The moment of merging and the ringdown are not yet optimally represented in the signal form.
