Iranian arcs and vaults

Domes are omnipresent in the achitectural tradition of cultures that use stone materials. The reason is obvious: a circle is a basic and organic figure, easy to construct and more, a circular dome is selfsupporting. However even with the use of just circular arcs a wide range of arches can be constructed. In this GeoGebra Book we examine the morphology of Iranian arches as we can find in literature.
