Urn (III)
Probability introduction
You will have to guess the proportion of balls of each color that are in each urn. You don't know the number of balls or how many colors are there. To guess the composition you have to make extractions and write down the results to see the relationship between them: if there is the same number of balls of each color, one doubles the other... From here and calculating the proportion, estimate the theoretical probability.
Experiments with urns
Activity proposal
- Extractions are made and the results are noted
- When we think that we can deduce the probability, write it on the sheet
- We repeat the process with other urns
- We collect information from other students or groups
