Macau casino operator Wynn Macao Ltd. on Wednesday announced the opening of a "medical center" (pictured) at Kotai Real Estate Wynn Palace amid promises from the local casino industry to help Macau diversify its economy.
The new facility, "Elite Kinesio Medical Center (Win Palace)," is in the resort's spa and will offer physical therapy and a "tailored" exercise program. According to an announcement by Win Macao Inc., the facility will also offer gut manipulation therapy, heart, and lung rehabilitation programs.
The facility is in collaboration with Cary Lam, a registered physical therapist in Macau, Win Macao Inc. said in a release.
The Elite Kinesio-branded physiotherapy service is operating on the Macau Peninsula, according to a confirmation from GGRAasia.
Wynn Macao Ltd. said it would strengthen the city's "tourism + wellness" initiative in line with the Macau government's "1+4" economic diversification strategy.
The latter is a reference to the Macau government's policy of pursuing diversified developments within the casino and leisure industries, and to Macau's development of four non-gaming industries: health, finance, technology, convention and exhibition, and cultural and sporting events businesses.
All six Macau casino concession holders must commit to a range of non-game initiatives as a condition of the current 10-year concession, which began in January 2023. 홀짝게임
These initiatives include meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) businesses, entertainment performances, sporting events, cultural activities, health tourism, themed play, gastronomy, local tourism promotion, and marine leisure activities.
