Counterclockwise Rotations
Counterclockwise means in the opposite direction of the numbers on a clock. This is the same direction that the quadrants of a coordinate plane are numbered.
Unless you a problem states otherwise, it is safe to assume that a positive angle of rotation turns the figure counterclockwise, and a negative angle turns the figure clockwise and that the center of the rotation is the origin.
