1) Discrete Probability Spaces

1) Discrete Probability Spaces
Discrete probability spaces represent occurrences when the sample space includes finite and countable outcomes.
To determine the probability P(A) of an event with a finite sample space and equally likely outcomes, we use the formula with the ratio:
P(A) = Number of favorable outcomes / Total number of possible outcomes
Questions students should be able to answer:
1) What is a discrete sample space?
2) How to determine the probability of an event in the sample space?
