Corresponding to the cycloids of a wheel (circle) I would speak of polygonoids to describe the net unfolding of an oblique polygon prism - rolling the solid of the prism along the xaxis. Trace the perimeter of the base on the x-axis and project y deflection of a vertex perpendicular to the y-coordinate.
