SECANT TANGENT INTERSECT IN THE EXTERIOR OF A CIRCLE

Activity: Find it out by Yourself!

Given: In the figure below, line CM is a secant and line LMis a tangent intersecting outside the circle at point M. Arc LEC and Arc LGare the two intercepted arcs of angle LMC. Move point M to observe the relationship of two arcs on the exterior angle. Question: Is there any relationship among the measures of Angle LMC, Arc LG, and Arc LEC? Describe the relationship, if there is any.
