Solving equations and inequalities

Task

Solve different equations using the Solve command.

Instructions

1.Enter the equation into the Input Bar and press Enter.
2.Open the context menu of the equation by pressing the More button next to it and select Solve.
Note: The equation will be labeled eq1 and the solution will be shown in the next row.
3.Enter the equation into the Input Bar and press Enter.
4.Again open the context menu by pressing the More button and select Solve.
Note: The equation will be labeled eq2 and both solutions will be shown in the next row. In addition a toggle button for numeric output will appear allowing you to change the result into a rounded decimal. You can toggle back to exact output by pressing the corresponding  toggle button.
5.Change the equation eq2 into and press Enter. Watch how the solution adapts to your changes.
6.Enter the command into the Input Bar and press Enter.
7.Note: The solutions will be shown in the output row.
8.Enter the command into the Input Bar to solve the exponential equation.
Note: You can also enter the equation and then select Solve from the context menu. In addition a toggle button for numeric output will appear allowing you to change the result into a rounded decimal. You can toggle back to exact output by pressing the corresponding  toggle button.
9.Enter the command into the Input Bar and press Enter.
The GeoGebra CAS Calculator will show you the solution for x with parameters a, b, c and d.
