Congruent Angle Constructions

Directions

Use the tools provided to construct an angle congruent to the given angle CONSTRUCTION STEPS: 1) Use the SEGMENT TOOL to create segment DE that doesn't intersect with Angle CAB. 2) Use the POINT TOOL to mark point F anywhere on segment AB 3) Use the COMPASS TOOL to create a circle with radius AF and center point A 4) Use the COMPASS TOOL to create a congruent circle (with radius AF) centered at point D If your second circle intersects the original angle or the first circle, you can use the MOVE TOOL to adjust points D or F. 5) Use the POINT TOOL to mark point G where circle A intersects segment AC. 6) Use the POINT TOOL to mark point H where circle D intersects segment DE 7) Use the COMPASS TOOL to create a circle with radius FG and center point F 8) Use the COMPASS TOOL to create a congruent circle (with radius FG) centered at point H 9) Mark point I where circles D and H intersect 10) Use the SEGMENT TOOL to draw segment DI 11) Use the angle tool to measure the original angle and the constructed angle. 12) Take a screenshot of your construction and paste it into OneNote.
