Copying an Angle
Directions
Use the compass tool to copy the given angle. To do this on Geogebra, do the following:
- Draw a new segment somewhere else on the page. This will be one of the sides of the new angle
- Construct a circle, centered at the vertex of the original angle, that intersects the angle twice. Place a point on each intersection of this circle and the angle.
- Construct a circle with the same radius centered on one of the endpoints of the new segment.
- Use the compass tool to create a circle whose radius is the distance between the points of intersection of the circle and the sides of the original angle. Construct this circle on the point of intersection of the new line and its circle.
- Draw a ray (or segment) that connects the endpoint of the new segment you have been using and the intersection of its two circles
