Rotation of a Hypercube

The faces of a hypercube are cubes. They look distorted because they are being projected onto two dimensions. If the hypercube is rotated (by cycling the basis vectors, defining the 4 dimensions, we can see that the distortion is not permanent but a result of the perspective.
