Deviation of an exploded pie slice from a larger circle

The boundary of a set of exploded pie slices will not lie on a circle. To see this, we can simulate exploding a pie slice and look at the deviation of the boundary from the expected circle of radius R + d. As you can see, the deviation is small for small values of , but is more noticeable for larger values.
