Inserting LaTeX formulas

Using the Text tool, you can insert mathematical formulas into the  Graphics View by using the LaTeX formula option in the Text dialog.

How to insert a static LaTeX formula

1.Toolbar ImageSelect the Text tool and click in the  Graphics View next to the text Fraction.
2. In the appearing Text dialog select Advanced. 
3.\frac{a} {b}Select tab LaTeX formula at the bottom of the Text dialog and choose the fraction  from the list of mathematical expressions.
Hint: GeoGebra automatically enters the necessary syntax \frac{a}{b} into the text box above.
4.LaTeX formulaMake sure that the button LaTeX formula at the top of the Text dialog window is activated, before you click OK.
Toolbar ImageNote: You can edit the fomula in the text's Settings on tab Text.
5.Toolbar ImageMove the text to the desired position and fix it using the Style Bar.

How to insert a dynamic LaTeX formula


1.Toolbar ImageSelect the Text tool and click in the  Graphics View next to the text Fraction.
2.= In the appearing Text dialog enter = before you select Advanced. 
3.\frac{a}{b}Select tab LaTeX formula at the bottom of the Text dialog and choose the fraction  from the list of mathematical expressions.
4.In the first set of curly braces, delete a. Click on tab  Objects and select d from the list of available objects.
5.In the second set of curly braces, delete b. Click on tab  Objects and select n from the list of available objects.
6.LaTeX formulaMake sure that the button LaTeX formula at the top of the Text dialog is activated, before you click OK.
7.Toolbar ImageMove the text to the desired position and fix it using the Style Bar.
8.Toolbar ImageSelect New problem to generate new numbers for your dynamic fraction.

How to combine the static and dynamic LaTeX formulas

Combine both, the static and the dynamic fraction, in one text.
1.Toolbar ImageSelect the Text tool and click in the  Graphics View.
2.Insert a LaTeX fraction into the text and enter an equal sign = next to it.
3.Insert another fraction and replace the variables for the denominator and numerator with objects d and n from tab  Objects.
4.LaTeX  formulaMake sure that the button LaTeX formula at the top of the Text dialog is activated, before you click OK.
5.Toolbar ImageMove the text to the desired position and fix it using the Style Bar.
