Inserting LaTeX formulas
Using the
Text tool, you can insert mathematical formulas into the
Graphics View by using the LaTeX formula option in the Text dialog.


How to insert a static LaTeX formula
1. | ![]() | Select the Text tool and click in the ![]() |
2. | In the appearing Text dialog select Advanced. | |
3. | \frac{a}
{b} | Select tab LaTeX formula at the bottom of the Text dialog and choose the fraction from the list of mathematical expressions. |
Hint: GeoGebra automatically enters the necessary syntax \frac{a}{b} into the text box above. | ||
4. | LaTeX formula | Make sure that the button LaTeX formula at the top of the Text dialog window is activated, before you click OK. |

5. | ![]() | Move the text to the desired position and fix it using the ![]() |

5. | ![]() | In the second set of curly braces, delete b. Click on tab ![]() |
6. | LaTeX formula | Make sure that the button LaTeX formula at the top of the Text dialog is activated, before you click OK. |
7. | ![]() | Move the text to the desired position and fix it using the ![]() |
8. | ![]() | Select New problem to generate new numbers for your dynamic fraction. |

Combine both, the static and the dynamic fraction, in one text.
