Shifting the Absolute Value Function
Use this worksheet to practice transforming an absolute value function from the origin to a given equation.
Drag the vertex to translate the function and use the slider to change the opening of the function.
For each problem:
1) Record the given equation from the left hand side of the applet.
2) Describe how you had to move the default graph from the origin to the given equation. (You'll know you're right when the applet says "Good!")
For example, I moved the equation 4 to the right and 3 down and changed the slider to -2.1.
