GeoGebra for everyday teaching
I will share with the participants my experience of using GeoGebra while working with students. I am very passionate about using technology in the classroom and would like to share my knowledge on how to streamline GeoGebra usage in real, everyday school class work with students. Hello! I am a mathematics teacher at Pompano High School. Recently I was an Instructional Specialist in Broward County Schools. I received my Bachelors in Mathematics Education at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, and my Masters of Science in Teaching Mathematics at Florida Atlantic University. I have taught mathematics at the middle school level teaching 8th-grade mathematics, Algebra 1, and Geometry. I have also taught and coached teachers at the High School level. Now I am a Broward County Mathematics Curriculum and Technology Specialist. I have been using GeoGebra for many years as an instructional tool for many years at the secondary and college levels and it has changed both the way I teach math and the way I learn/use it. I have performed GeoGebra training and workshops across the united states at public schools, Universities, State conferences (i.e. FCTM), and National conferences (i.e. NCTM). Please feel free to contact me for assistance and ideas on how to use the software or for information pertaining to software training. Email address: Fiveknote at gmail.com
