Exploration #2: The Constant Term
Directions: Use the slider to change the constant term in the equation of the line and answer the questions in the PDF activity. There are three different applets with three different coefficients for x. Make sure to check your predictions in all three applets!
Note that Geogebra will not always write the equation in the best form. If you change the slider to a negative number, such as -1, the equation will show as y=x+-1. It's bad math grammar to put two signs next to each other, so this would be better written as y=x-1 instead. Keep this in mind as you explore.
