Writing the Equation of a Line Given 2 Points
INSTRUCTIONS:
To start, keep point A and point B located where they are. Please answer the following questions (BEFORE CLICKING ON ANY CHECKBOX!.)
1) Calculate the slope of this line. Write this slope as a simplified ratio.
2) Check your answer to question (1) above by clicking on the checkbox in the upper left-hand corner.
3) Use your result from (1) to algebraically determine the slope-intercept form of the equation of this line.
4) Check your answer to question (3) above by clicking on the new checkbox (underneath the first.)
5) Click the "Clear Extra Data" button to erase everything on the screen but the line itself.
5) Change the locations of point A and point B. Repeat questions (1) - (5).
6) Repeat step (5) as many times as you need to until you can answer each question correctly.
