Data Sets: Mean, Median, and Mode

In the interactive spreadsheet, create a new data set in column A using nine numbers that could meet these different conditions:
  • The mean, median, and mode are all the same.
  • The mean, median, and mode are all different.
  • The mean is larger than the median.
  • The median is larger than the mean.
Currently for the data set 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9, the mean and median are both 5 and there is no mode. What would happen to the mean, median and mode if:
  • All the numbers were the same?
  • All the numbers were either a 10 or a 20?
  • Eight of the numbers were the same number and the ninth number was different?
  • Four of the numbers were the same number and the other five numbers were all equal to a different number?
