Summation of Fractions: 
  • Fractions of unequal denominators must be expanded to create a common denominators.
  • The resultant numerator will be  addition / subtraction of numerators.
  • The denominator will be the common denominator:       
Example: Multiplication of Fractions:
  • The numerator of the result is the product of the numerators.
  • The denominator of the result is the product of the denominators.
            Dividing of Fractions:
  • Multiplicand (second fraction) is inverted.
  • Thereafter, fractions are multiplied.
