Congruent Segment Construction

Step 1: Click on the circle icon, then construct a circle with center A and radius AB.  (Click on A to select the center, then click on the B to select the radius) Step 2: Duplicate the exact same circle by clicking on the circle icon, then compass.  Then click on the circle you want to duplicate, then click on point C to copy it. Now we have two congruent circles, one with center A, and the other with center C.  Both have the same radius) Step 3: Click the intersection icon (the 2nd one), then click on the circle around C and then the green line.  This will mark that intersection with a point.  (We want to use the intersection tool here and not the point tool so it goes to the exact point we want). Step 4: Click on the line tool (the 3rd one), and click on segment as the directions state.  Construct a segment between C and the new intersection point you created in step 3. (Click on C, then click on the new point) Step 5: If you did it correctly, a “Nailed it!” should pop up letting you know you did it right!

Construct a segment on the green ray with endpoint C that is congruent to segment AB.
