A Model of the Kline Disk

We have created a model of the Kline disk for hyperbolic geometry so you will be able to explore perpendicular lines within the model.
To create a Kline Line create two points in the circle. Then use the Kline Line tool by clicking on the two points and then the edge of the circle. A Kline line will be constructed inside the circle.
To create a Kline Perpendicular create two points in the circle. Construct a Kline line through these two points. Create a third point in the circle. Use the Kline perpendicular tool by selecting the two points on the line, then the other point, and final

What do you notice happens when you draw perpendiculars?

Is it possible to construct a rectangle in hyperbolic geometry? Use the applet to help you formulate your conclusion.

Is it possible to draw a rectangle in hyperbolic geometry? Why or why not?
