Triangle Center Construction

Construct the INCENTER using the same steps from your notes in class. When using the compass tool:
  • You must click on two points to set the measurement of your compass.
  • Then click on where you want the compass centered.
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ADD A POINTS where the compass intersects other figures
Drag any of the vertices to see the impact on the incenter.
Construct the CIRCUMCENTER using the same steps from your notes in class. When using the compass tool:
  • You must click on two points to set the measurement of your compass.
  • Then click on where you want the compass centered.
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ADD A POINTS where the compass intersects other figures
Drag any of the vertices to see the impact on the circumcenter.
Construct the CENTROID using the same steps from your notes in class. When using the compass tool:
  • You must click on two points to set the measurement of your compass.
  • Then click on where you want the compass centered.
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ADD A POINTS where the compass intersects other figures
HINT: Construct just one midpoint using notes from class, then you may use the midpoint tool for the other two sides. Drag any of the vertices to see the impact on the CENTROID.
Construct the ORTHOCENTER using the same steps from your notes in class. When using the compass tool:
  • You must click on two points to set the measurement of your compass.
  • Then click on where you want the compass centered.
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ADD A POINTS where the compass intersects other figures
HINT: Construct just one perpendicular line using notes from class, then you may use the perpendicular line tool for the other two sides. Drag any of the vertices to see the impact on the ORTHOCENTER.
