Discovering Trig Ratios

Look at the ratio of sides in the right triangle below.

Opposite= The side across from angle β Adjacent= The side next to angle β Hypotenuse= The side across from the right angle -These three sides can be divided in what we call Trigonometric Ratios. Instructions: Move the angle slider below the triangle and point B to create different triangles. View the ratios beside the triangle. When do they change? When do they stay the same?

Do the ratios change when the angle changes? What about when the side lengths change?
