Deciphering transformation
Overview
In the geogebra applet below I would like you to create a triangle.
I would like you to transform that triangle with the following functions. when you are done you should have three colored triangles and one black triangle which is your original.
Green: (x, y) -----> (-x, y)
Orange: (x, y)-----> (x+2, y-5)
Purple: (x, y)-----> (-y, x)
Once you have the four triangles go ahead and measure their interior angles as well as their sides.
Applet
What do you notice about the side lengths of the four triangles? Did you expect this? Will this happen to any triangle or is yours special somehow? Justify your answer

What type of transformation is purple?
Changing green
What would be different about the transformation of green if it's function was (x, y)---->(x, -y)
Changing Purple
What would happen to the purple transformation if it was changed to (x, y)----> (y, -x)
