Plotting a line on the graph

Plotting a line on the graph To plot a line find two or more points on the line, plot them, and then connect those dots with a line. To find points on the line, choose any value for x, then plug that number in the function and solve for the unknown variable y. The following video will show an example of how to do this.

How to plot straight lines using points on the line?

Practice exercises: In the following exercises you only have to find any two points A and B on the line. To do this substitute any value of x and then for that value of x1 find the corresponding y1. This give you point A that is (x1,y1). Do this step for another value of x2 and find y2 for that value of x1 this should give you the point B. Now in the graph adjust your A and B according to what you got. After keeping A and B in the graph you will get the respective equation of a line. Try yourself!
