MAFS.912.G-C.1.3 Construct the inscribed and circumscribed circles of a triangle, construct orthocenter, circumcenter, and centroid,  and prove properties of angles for a quadrilateral inscribed in a circle. MAFS.912.G-CO.3.10 Prove theorems about triangles; use theorems about triangles to solve problems.

Learning Objectives

  1. Students will be able to construct the medians, altitudes, and perpendicular bisectors of a triangle on Geogebra and with compass and straightedge.
  2. Students will identify what happens to the centroid, orthocenter, and circumcenter of a triangle when the triangle is manipulated on Geogebra.
  3. Students will be able to construct triangles and understand incircle, circumcircle, and circumcenter, based on a triangle.
  4. Students will be able to identify the medians in a triangle, the lengths of medians, and the ratio of the length from the vertex to the centroid, and the ratio of the length from the centroid to the midpoint of the side.
