Freehand functions

Task

Draw a freehand function and create different transformations of your function. Explore the construction and learn how to do transformations with GeoGebra Graphing Calculator. Then try it yourself by following the instructions below.

Instructions

1.Toolbar ImageOpen the Tools View. Choose the Freehand Function tool.
2.Toolbar ImageSelect the Freehand Function tool and draw a function. The function will automatically be named f(x) and displayed in the Algebra View.
3.Enter into the Input Bar of the Algebra View. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide the new function.
4.Enter into the Input Bar. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide it.
5.Enter into the Input Bar. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide it.
6.Enter into the Input Bar. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide it.
7.Enter into the Input Bar. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide it.
8.Enter into the Input Bar. Explore the graph of the new function in relation to f(x). Select the enabled Visibility button on the left of the function to hide it.
9.Rotate your freehand function f(x) by 90° using the command .
10.Rotate your freehand function f(x) by using the command . A slider for n will be created automatically. Move the slider to explore the rotation.
