Create & Find Activities

In order to create a GeoGebra Lesson containing rich student tasks, you first need to create or find a GeoGebra Activity containing elements that transform into student tasks.

What is a GeoGebra Activity?

A GeoGebra Activity is an interactive (online) activity that combines different elements (e.g. text, applets, questions, videos, images) in a flexible layout. The online Activity Editor allows you to easily create a GeoGebra Activity yourself.  Learn how to create a GeoGebra Activity in our Learn how to use Resources tutorial.

What is a Task?

A GeoGebra Activity can contain several elements. It is important to know which elements in GeoGebra Classroom will be tasks. The following elements become tasks in GeoGebra Classroom:
  • Open questions
  • Multiple-Choice questions
  • GeoGebra apps (e.g.: GeoGebra Calculator Suite, GeoGebra Graphing Calculator, GeoGebra Classic)
  • GeoGebra Notes applets
If a GeoGebra Activity contains at least one GeoGebra app or a question, a GeoGebra Lesson can be created directly from this Activity. Every app and every question from this Activity automatically becomes a task in the GeoGebra Lesson. Note: You can decide if your students will be able to view the correct answers on multiple-choice and open questions when creating a Lesson.
