Bézier Slur : Adjust Taper, Flatten Top
Proposed slur enhancement
Using the same control points as the existing MuseScore implementation, two parameters are introduced which allow the taper to be adjusted, and the slur top to be flattened. I am happy to add step-by-step worksheets illustrating exactly how these parameters work.
The default parameter values:
Flat = 1, taper = 1
produce exactly the shape currently used.
Here, "flatten" can be pushed too high, making the curve bulge out the sides. It is easy to restrict this parameter so that the upper curve doesn't push beyond the bounding box (except when the placement of the control points has already caused it to happen , on the unflattened slur)
