Triple Integral Cylindrical Coordinates - Demo
Problem:
Find the volume of the wedge cut from the cylinder by the planes z = 0 and z = -y.
Do the following steps:
1. Spin the graph to see the solid. Explain why we will compute the volume of the portion above the xy-plane and then double the result.
2. Click on Surfaces (z), Curves (r) and Constants () to see the animation. Slide n and t to view the solid.
3. Now Convert the domain to the cylindrical coordinates and set up the triple integrals to compute the volume.
4. Check the box V to view the answer.
