Pre-lesson Dot Product

Given vector u = <a, b> and vector v= <c, d>. Recall that the dot product of 2 vectors u v= (a)(c) + (b)(d). Note that the dot product of 2 vectors is a scalar quantity. In the applet below two vectors (u and v) are drawn with the same initial point. Their dot product is also shown in red. Interact with this applet for a few minutes and observe the value of the dot product and the angle between the vectors. Do you notice any patterns? If so, describe.
