CW 8 MU Equation of a Line

Investigate how the points "fit" the equation of the line.
Write in your notebooks. You will see the equation for the line at the bottom right of the graph. 1. Use the slider at the top left to set the value of c at 4. 2. Calculate the slope of the line. 3. Record the values of equation for this line , slope, c and m for each of the values. 4. Change the value of c to 3, 1, -1, -3 and -4. Repeat steps 2 and 3. 5. Change the value to 0. Repeat steps 2 and 3. Record all the values in a table like this: Equation of line Slope Value of c Value of m Answer the questions: a. What relationship do you see between m values and the equation of the line? b, What relationship do you see between c values and the equation of the line? c. What can you say about the values m and c?
