Polyhedrons with reflections

Task

Create polyhedrons with reflections about planes. Explore the construction and learn how to create polyhedrons with 3D in GeoGebra Calculator Suite. Then try it yourself by following the instructions below.

Instructions

1. Open the Tools View.
2.Toolbar ImageSelect the Point tool and create a point on each axis.
3.Toolbar ImageSelect the Polygon tool and select the three created points. Hint: Click the first point again to close the polygon.
4.Toolbar ImageSelect the Reflect about Plane tool and select first the triangle and then the grey plane.
5.Toolbar ImageSelect the Plane tool and select the y-axis and the z-axis to create a new plane.
6.Toolbar ImageSelect the Reflect about Plane tool and reflect the already created part of the solid about the new plane.
7.Repeat Step 5 & 6 to create a plane with the x-axis and z-axis and also reflect the created figures about this plane. Hint: You can use the Move tool to change the point of view.
8.Switch to the Algebra View and hide the created planes, by disabling the Visibility button next to the planes.
9.Open the Settings and deselect Show Axes and Show Plane to hide the axes and the plane.
10.Toolbar ImageSelect the Move tool in the Tools View and explore your construction.
