GeoGebra and Safe Exam Browser
What is Safe Exam Browser?
Safe Exam Browser allows you to lock down specific links (URLs) for use in exams. For example you can lock down an applet like geogebra.org/m/bztdtrgv using the embed link to remove the menus etc. but also you can lock down the full GeoGebra Apps by using some special URLs that we explain below.
Safe Exam Browser can be installed on Windows, macOS and iPad tablets.
How to use GeoGebra in Safe Exam Browser
To get started quickly, you can simply download a .seb file from github.com/geogebra/SEB - they have the special links already set-up for you to use.
Refer to the SEB documentation to add your own quit password etc.
GeoGebra will show the “hash” for each exam at the top.
If the students are all using the same
.seb configuration then the hashes shown on each student’s screen will be the same e.g. 746c0e52 so you can be sure the students are running the correct .seb configuration that you have specified.
You should obviously test this out before the exam and make a note of the hash shown.

Will start the special “restricted” Graphing Calculator - see https://www.geogebra.org/m/shfwqcpr for a quick overview of the differences.

Will offer a menu so you can choose the exam mode.
