Glazed polychrome decoration
At the turn of the 14th century, glazed polychrome decoration was becoming more and more common. Craftsmen brought in by Timur from Iran, Iraq, Syria and other lands all made their contribution to the development and enrichment of the decorative design.
Maybe the most striking example of it is the Shah-i Zinda necropolis. The facades of the mausolea were overladen with polychrome glazed decoration.
