The User Interface of the GeoGebra 3D Calculator includes the Algebra View, the Tools View and the 3D Graphics View. All Views are dynamically connected, which means that modifications in any View are immediately displayed in the other Views as well.
Examples:
- Drag point A in the 3D Graphics View and watch how its coordinates change in the Algebra View. Hint: You can toggle between moving the point horizontally or vertically by selecting the point. After each selection, arrows are displayed next to it, indicating which movement is currently active.
- Enter the equation of a plane (e.g. ) or a function (e.g.
)
in the Algebra View and watch how it is graphed in the 3D Graphics View.

The Tools View
Use the Tools View button to open the Tools View providing access to the categories of GeoGebra tools. Select any tool and create new objects in the 3D Graphics View.
Note: The Tools View shows a selection of most important tools. If you want to see more tools, select MORE at the end of the Tools View.
The Algebra View
Use the Algebra View button to open the Algebra View. Enter algebraic input, commands and functions into the Input Bar using the keyboard. The graphical representation of these objects is displayed in the 3D Graphics View. The algebraic numeric representation of all created objects is shown in the Algebra View as well.
Extend / Hide the Views
If you don't need the 3D Graphics View you can extend the Algebra View to full screen so you have more space for your input and explorations.
You may also want to only show the 3D Graphics View and to close the other Views. Therefore select the highlighted View from the navigation. You can display other Views again by using the corresponding buttons.
The Menu
Open the Menu of the GeoGebra 3D Calculator in the top left corner to create New Files, open existing Resources, Save your work and Share it with others, as well as to change the Settings, open other GeoGebra Apps or to get Help if needed.

After selecting Undo, a Redo button will be available as well.

You can also open further settings to change the Global settings (e.g.: rounding, language), the 3D Graphics View settings (e.g.: grid type, distances on the axes) as well as the Algebra View settings (e.g.: descriptions).
Augmented Reality (AR)
If you are using the GeoGebra 3D Calculator on a mobile device that supports AR, you can tap the AR button to switch into Augmented Reality mode. There you can place your created objects on any surface, walk around them and take screenshots from different angles.
You can return to the 3D Graphics View by tapping the 3D button.
