Suprematist Composition: Airplane Flying, Malevich

We have already seen this painting in Figure 8. Let's remember that the orange and red rectangles at the top of the painting merge into a single silhouette. As it is a geometric abstraction painting, the silhouettes of the focal areas that make up the positive space are simple and sharp. In the center of the resulting Voronoi diagram (Figure 15), there are many segments with straight lines, corresponding to bisectors between sides of the focal areas.
