Horse race
Random experiments. Probability introduction
In this experiment, we roll an 8-sided dice and the knight with that number is advanced one position. It ends when one of the horses reaches the finish line. We count the results in a table
Activity
- Each student considers which horse will arrive first and verifies after the experiment its beliefs.
- All students are asked and most repeated results are identify
- Repeat the experiment several times and check if some results appear more often than others
- By comparing with the rest of your classmates, you check if a result is more likely
