Area of Triangle by Transformations
Explanation
This app is intended to visualize how the area of a triangle can be transformed into half the area of a rectangle with the same base and height.
The shape of the triangle can be changed by:
Dragging point B
Dragging point C
Selecting side AB as the base and adjusting the height with the point labeled height.
To change the which side of the triangle is referenced as the base, use the checkboxes.

Notes:
Point C is on a ray parallel to line AB extending to the right. Extending C to the right of A would just be a reflection across the line x=x(A).
