Copy of Discovering Properties of Parallelograms

Below is a parallelogram. To discover the properties of ALL parallelograms do the following:
  1. Measure the distance of the diagonals, sides, and from the point of intersection to each vertex (10 measurements).
  2. Measure the angles measurements (4 measurements)
  3. Move your parallelogram around . . . do your properties stay true?
1) What do you notice about the opposite sides? 2) Are the diagonals congruent? 3) What is true about the diagonals? 4) What do you notice about the opposite angles? 5) What do you notice about the consecutive angles?
