3.7 Investigation 2 (Cirumcenter)
3.7 Constructing Points of Concurrency Investigation 2
Step 1: The distance from the circumcenter to each of the three vertices are similar in distance to one another. As for the distance from the circumcenter to each of the three sides, they are not the exact number but they are very close to one another.
Step 2: Tape or glue your patty paper firmly on a piece of regular paper. Use a compass to construct a circle with the circumcenter as the center and that passes through any one of the triangle's vertices. What do you notice?
I noticed that all the vertices of the triangle land nicely on the circle which could mean they are equidistant from one another
Step 3: Use your observation to state your next conjecture.
Circumcenter Conjecture
The circumcenter of a triangle is equidistant from the vertices.
