Copying a Line Segment & an Angle
Purpose
You will use this worksheet to perform two basic constructions:
1) Copy a segment
2) Copy an angle
Practice! You can move the points to make the original line segment or angle larger or smaller or change their position. The more you practice, the easier it gets. When you're happy with what you've created, and are confident of the process, submit your answers.
1) Copy a segment
In the window below, use the tools to copy the given segment. Use the Distance tool to show that the segments are the same length.
2) Copy a Segment
In the window below, use the tools to copy the given segment. Use the Distance tool to show that the segments are the same length.
3) Copy an angle
In the window below, use the tools to construct an angle congruent to the one given. Use the angle measurement tool to show that the angles have the same measure.
4) Copy an angle
In the window below, use the tools to create an angle congruent to the one given. Use the angle measuring tool to show that the two angles are congruent.
You're done!
Great job! To get credit for your work, show what you've done to your teacher.
