Perpendicular Line Constructions

Understanding PERPENDICULAR LINES. The definition is two lines that intersect and form right angles. Use the perpendicular line tool to visualize where what perpendicular lines are. Drag A and/or B to see the impact on the perpendicular lines.
Construct the line that is both perpendicular to the given line and runs through the given point using the same steps from your notes in class. When using the compass tool:
  • You must click on two points to set the measurement of your compass.
  • Then click on where you want the compass centered.
  • YOU WILL NEED TO ADD A POINTS where the compass intersects other figures
Drag A to see the impact on the perpendicular lines.
