TPACK Context

The seven components of TPACK includes a multitude of content for educators to incorporate technology across all disciplines. This model was produced to have an established systematic way to prepare, execute, and teach with the expansion of technological approaches within the classroom. As math educators, we are aware that mastery of the content knowledge and preparation is essential for each lecture. Once we identify mathematical standards, we prepare educational resources that may align with the lessons. Koehler (2009) refers to connecting the content and technology resources as TPK. Koehler states, " TPK is an understanding of how teaching and learning can change when particular technologies are used in particular ways. This includes knowing the pedagogical affordances and constraints of a range of technological tools as they relate to disciplinarily and developmentally appropriate pedagogical designs and strategies. (2009)". Moreover, educators should carefully select tools that are user friendly to students. Not to mention, mathematical resources that are utilized in this lesson are no cost for students. Therefore, all students will be able to access the resources regardless of their financial situation or economic background.    Koehler, M. J., & Mishra, P. (2009).
