Quadratic polynomials
Task
Type in a quadratic function which parameters and graph can be changed by using sliders. Visualize the special points of the quadratic function as well.
Explore the construction and learn how to visualize quadratic polynomials with GeoGebra Graphing Calculator. Then try it yourself by following the instructions below.

Instructions
1. | Create a slider for parameter a. Therefore enter a into the Input Bar and press Enter. The Graphing Calculator will automatically create a slider. |
2. | Create sliders for parameters b and c by following the instructions above. |
3. | Enter the quadratic function into the Input Bar. The graph of f(x) will automatically be displayed in the Graphics View. |
4. | Move the sliders a, b and c to modify the parameters of the quadratic function. Explore how the graph and the equation of f(x) adapt to your changes. Note: Click the corresponding disabled Visibility button of the sliders in the Algebra View to display them in the Graphics View as well. You can move them to any position in the Graphics View. |
5. | Open the context menu by pressing the More button next to the input of f(x) and select Special Points. The roots, intersection point with the y-axis and extremum of the quadratic function will be displayed in the Algebra and Graphics View. |
6. | Move the sliders a, b and c again and explore how the special points change as well. |
