TPACK
TPACK
The seven components of TPack includes a multitude of content for educators to incorporate technology across all disciplines. This model was produced to have an established systematic way to prepare, execute, and teach with expansion of technological approaches within the classroom. As a math educator, I am aware that I must initially master the content knowledge and be prepared for each lecture. Once I have overviewed the standards, I find educational resources that may align with the lessons that I will teach. Koehler (2009) refers to connecting the content and technology resources as TPK. Koehler states, " TPK is an understanding of how teaching and learning can change when particular technologies are used in particular ways. This includes knowing the pedagogical affordances and constraints of a range of technological tools as they relate to disciplinarily and developmentally appropriate pedagogical designs and strategies. (2009)". Moreover, educators should carefully select tools that are user friendly to students. Personally, I train my students and model the appropriate techniques to using technology. Not to mention, I find mathematical resources that are no cost for students so all students will be able to access the resources regardless of their financial situation.
