Reflection from a Curved Mirror
This simulation looks at the reflection of multiple incident rays from a concave spherical mirror. The rays are reflected back from the mirror so that the angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are the same.
- Move the slider to change the radius of the mirror.
- Individual rays can be turned on or off using the check boxes on the left hand side.
- You can choose to display the normals for each ray by checking the appropriate checkbox.
- You may also display the shape of a parabolic mirror with the same focal length.
