Create new objects

We have already seen how to create new objects (e.g. points, lines, circles) by using the Graphics Tools provided in the Toolbar. Now we will graph by entering equations and coordinates into the Algebra Input and pressing the Enter key.

Changing the View

1.Select the Menu button in the upper right corner of the GeoGebra window. 2.Open the View menu. 3. Select Algebra Input in addition to the Graphics view to add the input lines for our equations or functions.

Instructions

`y = 3 x + 1`	Enter the linear equation `y = 3x + 1` into the Algebra Input* and press the Enter key.
`f(x) = x² + 2`	Enter the function `f(x) = x^2 + 2` into the Algebra Input and press the Enter key.
`B = (2, 1)`	Enter `B = (2, 1)` into the Algebra Input and press Enter in order to create a new point. Create another new point `C = (-1, 3)`
	Select the Line tool from the Toolbar and click twice in the Graphics View or on the two existing points B and C to create a line.

Hint: Click on the

keyboard icon in order to open a virtual keyboard.

Modify existing objects

You can drag existing objects in the Graphics View, or change their equations and coordinates in the Algebra View.

1.		Select the Move tool and drag objects in the Graphics View to change their position.
2.		Double click on an object in the Algebra View in order to directly change its equation or coordinates, or redefine it.

Delete objects

Sometimes, you may want to delete objects that you created in one of the following ways:

Select the Undo button in order to undo the last object(s) you created.
Use the Delete tool in order to delete any object you created. Hint: Click on the last Tool icon in order to open the corresponding Toolbox. Select the Delete tool from the Toolbox and click on the object(s) you want to delete.
