Distance Example
Distance Example:
The coordinates of Point A is (3,2) The distance of Point B is (-3,-2)
To find the distance between these two point use their coordinates and plug them into the equation √(x2−x1)2+(y2−y1)2.
If the first number in the set of coordinates is X the second one would be Y. So when you plug the points into the equation it should look like this:√(-3−3)2+(y-2−2)2.
When solving this equation, first solve for what's inside the square root sign.
√36+16
Than finish the equation by adding the two digits and square rooting the sum.
In this example the distance between Point A and Point B is 7.2 units.
